Our Story

Flex Learning is dedicated to providing behavior analytic treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disabilities, Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy, and Epilepsy. Our journey began a few years ago when we recognized two key challenges in the field: difficulties faced by families receiving behavior analysis and obstacles encountered by professionals working in this area. This led us to create an environment that addresses both concerns effectively.

Our vision includes two main focuses:

  1. Support for Caregivers: We aim to create a collaborative environment that enhances teaching and supports caregivers. By aligning with the values of our clients and their families, we strive to achieve positive, efficient outcomes. Our approach is grounded in present moment awareness and compassion, helping us foster meaningful behavior changes and build successful, supportive relationships.

  2. Staff Training: We are committed to cultivating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for our staff. Our training model is designed to inspire continuous curiosity and growth, enabling us to better support the families we serve and advance our collective expertise.

At Flex Learning, we believe that by addressing these key areas with empathy and dedication, we can create a positive impact on both our clients and our team.

Our
Commitment

At Flex Learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion are foundational to how we operate, how we make decisions, and how we deliver care. These principles are not separate from our work—they are embedded in our clinical, operational, and organizational practices.

We are committed to building and maintaining an environment where all staff, clients, and families feel safe, respected, and valued. We recognize that every individual brings unique cultural backgrounds, identities, languages, beliefs, and lived experiences that must be acknowledged and honored in order to provide ethical and effective care.

We also recognize that DEI requires ongoing action, reflection, and accountability. Flex Learning is committed to identifying and addressing barriers to equity, fostering psychological safety, and continuously improving our systems and practices.

Our DEI commitment is reflected through our core values:

Aware with Compassion

We actively recognize the impact of identity, culture, trauma, and lived experience in every interaction. We approach clients, families, and colleagues with empathy and an openness to understanding experiences different from our own. We commit to reducing judgment and increasing compassion in all responses and decision-making.

Mindful in Our Interactions

We are intentional in our communication, ensuring that our language and behavior promote dignity, respect, and psychological safety. We avoid assumptions, remain aware of bias in interactions, and strive to create environments where individuals feel heard and respected.

Collaborative in Our Approach

We engage clients, families, and staff as active partners in care. We value shared decision-making and intentionally include diverse perspectives in treatment planning, supervision, and organizational improvement. We believe better outcomes are achieved when all voices are included.

Invested in Continuous Learning

We commit to ongoing education in cultural humility, equity, bias awareness, and inclusive ABA practices. We actively reflect on our own practices, seek feedback, and implement changes when gaps or inequities are identified.

Culturally Sensitive to One Another

We respect and honor cultural differences and individual identities in all aspects of care and workplace culture. We strive to provide services that are culturally responsive, individualized, and aligned with each client’s values, family structure, and lived experience.

Organizational Commitment to Action and Accountability

Flex Learning commits to:

  • Regularly reviewing policies, supervision practices, and service delivery through an equity lens

  • Encouraging open dialogue and feedback from staff and families without fear of retaliation

  • Providing ongoing training in DEI, cultural humility, and ethical service delivery

  • Supporting leadership accountability in modeling inclusive and respectful practices

  • Continuously improving systems to reduce barriers to access, participation, and advancement

At Flex Learning, DEI is an ongoing commitment—not a static statement. We are dedicated to continuous reflection, growth, and action to ensure our organization remains inclusive, ethical, and responsive to the communities we serve.
